Illinois State University defeated Creighton University 73-49 in the second semifinal and eighth overall game of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament on Saturday March 7, 2009 at the Scottrade Center in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. The Illinois State University Redbirds advance to play the University of Northern Iowa Panthers, winners of the other semifinal, on Sunday March 8, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. CDT in the MVC Championship game.
