Description
A biologist takes care of penguins at the port of Santos, during an operation to release them in the Atlantic ocean, in Brazil, on October 14, 2008. Some 100 Magellanic --Spheniscus magellanicus-- penguins were released offshore where they could be dragged by drafts and currents towards the south, where their reproduction colonies are located. The largest reproduction colony of Magellanic penguins is in Punta Tombo, in Argentina's Patagonia. AFP PHOTO/Mauricio LIMA (Photo credit should read MAURICIO LIMA/AFP/Getty Images)
