epa01922811 Ford Motor Company shows off their first-ever production inflatable seat belts at their Safety and Innovation Laboratory in Dearborn, Michigan USA on 05 November 2009. The belts are designed to provide additional protection for rear-seat occupants, often children and older passengers who can be more vulnerable to head, chest and neck injuries. The rear seat belts will debut on the next-generation Ford Explorer sport utility vehicle, which goes into production next year. EPA/JEFF KOWALSKY
