The board appointed Uebber as successor of Ruediger Grube, who will become the new CEO of Deutsche Bahn AG, as EADS revealed on 15 April 2009 in Amsterdam. Uebber already had been a member of the board of directors at EADS. Wilfried Porth, a member of the management board of Daimler AG, will fill the board vacancy left by Grube's departure.
