Mar 15, 2009 - Zhengzhou, Henan, China - A Chinese man protested against a Carrefour store selling expired products in Zhengzhou, central Chinas Henan province. The man, who did not give his name, claimed that he had bought and eaten the imported sauce which was suspected to have expired for 50 days. Local law enforcement officers accompanied the man to the Carrefour Jinshui store for negotiation but were stopped by workers from the store. On March 15th, consumer rights are being promoted throughout China on the International consumer rights day, especially in this year as the central government stressed boosting domestic consumption amid the global financial crisis.
